Terms of service

These Terms of Service apply to purchases made through the Sharing Table website. By placing an order with Sharing Table, you agree to these terms.

About Sharing Table

Sharing Table is a British  food and gifting business offering freshly prepared foods, chilled products, pantry products, fresh juices, gift hampers and selected gifting and homeware products.

Products

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs and information displayed on our website are accurate.

As many of our food products are prepared in small batches, there may be minor natural variations in appearance, colour, size or presentation.

All products are subject to availability.

Gift Hampers and Substitutions

From time to time, an item included in a hamper may become unavailable. Where reasonably necessary, we may substitute an unavailable item with an appropriate alternative of equal or greater value.

Where a proposed substitution would materially change the nature of the hamper, we will endeavour to contact you before dispatch.

Food Allergies and Dietary Information

Please read the ingredient and allergen information provided for individual food products carefully before purchasing or consuming them.

Sharing Table handles a range of ingredients and allergens in its preparation environment. Although appropriate procedures are followed to reduce the risk of unintended cross-contact, we cannot guarantee that our preparation environment is completely free from allergens.

Customers with food allergies or intolerances should review the relevant allergen information carefully and contact us before ordering if further information is required.

Fresh and Chilled Products

Some Sharing Table products are freshly prepared, chilled or perishable.

Customers must follow the storage instructions and use-by dates provided with individual products.

Chilled products should be refrigerated at 0–5°C immediately upon receipt, unless otherwise stated on the product label.

If you believe a chilled or perishable product has arrived in a condition that makes it unsafe or unsuitable to consume, please do not consume it and contact us promptly.

Orders

When you place an order, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide, including your delivery address and contact details, is accurate.

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where, for example, a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, there is an error in the price or product information, or we are unable to fulfil the order.

If payment has already been taken for an order that we are unable to fulfil, an appropriate refund will be issued.

Prices and Payment

Prices displayed on our website are in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.

Applicable delivery charges will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

Delivery

Delivery options, estimated delivery times and applicable charges are provided at checkout.

Please ensure that someone is available to receive deliveries containing fresh or chilled products wherever reasonably possible.

Delivery is subject to our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Certain freshly prepared, personalised or perishable products may not qualify for cancellation or return simply because you change your mind.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights in relation to goods that are faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Full details are provided in our Return and Refund Policy.

Gift Messages and Personalisation

Where we offer personalised gift messages or other personalised elements, customers are responsible for checking the information supplied before submitting the order.

We may refuse content that is unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, contains an incorrect product, or you believe that a product is not of satisfactory quality, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may ask you to provide your order number, details of the issue and photographs of the affected product and packaging to help us investigate.

Where appropriate, we will provide a replacement, refund or another suitable remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Non-Food Products

Where Sharing Table supplies non-food items, including homeware or tableware, additional statutory cancellation and return rights may apply.

Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Website Use

The content of the Sharing Table website, including our branding, product names, photographs, written content, designs and other materials, belongs to Sharing Table or is used with permission.

It must not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission, except where permitted by law.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses arising from a customer's failure to follow product storage, handling or usage instructions.

Privacy

Personal information supplied to us is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. The terms applicable to an order will normally be those in effect when that order is placed.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will also retain any mandatory legal protections available to you under applicable consumer law.
